We teach students how to keep themselves safe through our Online Safety and PSHE programmes and across the wider curriculum. Our aim is to give every young person the skills, knowledge and values they need to take responsibility for their own wellbeing and to look out for one another.
Safeguarding at Mulberry Academy Bexhill
At Mulberry Academy Bexhill, we work alongside our students, their families and partner agencies to provide support through even the most difficult circumstances. No concern is too small, and no family faces a challenge alone.
We hold a robust Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy in line with current statutory guidance. We warmly invite parents and carers to read the policy and encourage anyone with concerns or suggestions to contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead directly.
Mulberry Academy Bexhill recognises its legal duty to safeguard and protect students from abuse as defined in the Children Act 2004 and Section 175 of the Education Act 2002. Everything we do in this area is underpinned by the fundamental principle of the Children Act 1989:
